Why was Ask2bsure.com created?
We are residents in Moore County, North Carolina with the same service needs as everyone else. In recent years, we often felt frustrated in trying to find providers that can be trusted to give excellent service. We thought why couldn't we develop a free online service to help local consumers confidently choose the right services in very little time? Also we felt consumers should only review qualified providers who demonstrated superior work consistently as rated by their customers.
In late 2006 we began our work in earnest. We chose the Internet as the medium since it offered the convenience people sought then and now in 2009 clearly expect and increasingly rely on.

We will start with the more popular services such as home building, landscaping, handyman services and remodeling. Over time our intent is to include most of the popular home and yard services on our website so you can easily and quickly find qualified providers to perform the majority of services you need.
Why is your website titled Ask2bsure.com?
Finding the right provider/retailer to do important work requires asking questions about the provider's qualifications. We ask questions and verify information received at the time providers initially subscribe to Ask2bsure and then again when they renew. 1) We ask if they are licensed and insured which we will then verify. 2) We check online to see if they have at least a satisfactory rating with the Better Business Bureau.

What should I do to help me find the right Provider?
You should Ask2bsure about the company's suitability to do the work (see Smart Tips). Some typical questions you might ask would be: Have you done this specific type of work before? Are you familiar with the building code in my town? Will you obtain the necessary town permits to do the work? Do you have names of references I can call? You should also contact the Better Business Bureau to check on the Provider's latest status. You should be cautious in hiring anyone with less than a satisfactory record with the BBB. If you then are truly satisfied with the answers received, "then confidently choose the right service".
Do I have to pay anything in using your service?
No, absolutely not! The service is fully and totally free to anyone living in or around Moore County. We receive payment to operate our business directly from the providers. Just the way they would have to pay to promote their business through newspapers, publications, Yellow Pages, TV and radio commercials.
We do however ask residents and area visitors to fill out a frank and fair rating assessment of the company's performance once the work or retail experience is completed. It's important for 2 reasons: 1. Residents will appreciate your candid assessment when they review the company's profile in deciding whether to obtain services or not. 2. Feedback is essential to help companies review their strengths and weaknesses identified by their customers (people like you) and make improvements where and when necessary to grow their business.
Does Ask2bsure.com give any guarantee on services provided?
No, we do not offer a guarantee that the service provided to you will be satisfactory. Our role however is to ask providers for required information (business license #'s, whether they are insured, etc.) and expect them in good faith to answer honestly and fully. We then ask each customer to fill out a frank and fair assessment of their completed service that we then share with everyone who visits Ask2bsure.com and makes an inquiry of the provider's performance. If any customer rates a provider's completed service as being less than satisfactory, Ask2bsure will not release that rating review for visitors to see for 30 calendar days. This is to give the provider time to contact you if he so chooses, to remedy any problems identified in the review and bring about a more favorable outcome. If then a more favorable outcome is reached, you may if you wish, re-file your earlier review with a more favorable one and state your reason for doing so. Once we confirm your identity, we will replace the old review with the re-filed one.
We also ask everyone before hiring to ask "due diligence" questions (For a Home or Yard Service, see
Smart Tips). In the end, it is in your hands to make the right hiring decision and we do our best in providing you with helpful information in the selection process.
Does Ask2bsure.com help Providers improve service to customers?
Yes it does. Ask2bsure's primary objective is to help both residents and providers in achieving their goals. The residents must be able to quickly find qualified services at reasonably prices and the providers must in turn receive timely, useful customer feedback on their completed service to help them retain and grow their business. We alert the providers to all unfavorable reviews (under a 3-star satisfactory rating) so they can take quick remedial steps to resolve negative customer impressions. We encourage them to ask their customers to fill out rating reviews on Ask2bsure.com. The reviews are a great source for providers to see your improvement suggestions and performance factors they are doing well in and not so well in. They then can take corrective steps to earn consistently high ratings from their repeat and new customers.
Will my privacy be protected in using your website?
Yes, definitely. We know it's essential your privacy be protected. Initially, when you are looking for providers that do the service you're requesting, we ask only for your zip code to list providers found closest to farthest to the town you live in. So there is no private information asked for at this point in the finding process. After the service is completed, we ask you to rate the company's performance. At this time we state you can optionally provide your phone # to facilitate the provider making contact with you. The provider may want to contact you if there was a problem you conveyed in your review that should be remedied. We do ask for your name and e-mail address to confirm your identity and guard against anyone that is not authorized, in potentially filling out bogus rating reviews. At no time will your name, phone number or e-mail address be shared with the public. The only reference on any rating review shown to the public is the town the resident who completed the review lives in. Your privacy is important to us and any personal information will not be shared with anyone else, period.
Service Provider Questions:
What happens if I receive any unfavorable reviews?
You will be alerted to all unfavorable reviews that have an overall rating of less than 3 stars (less than satisfactory). You then will have 30 days to rectify the matter with the customer. During this 30-day period, any unfavorable reviews will be suspended from public viewing. The outcome of your corrective actions will often result in the re-filing of favorable revised customer reviews replacing earlier unfavorable ones.
If the customer is unwilling to re-file a more favorable review after you made a sincere effort to remedy the situation, you will have an opportunity to leave rebuttal comments to present your side of the experience. However, we strongly urge you as the provider to try to resolve the matter with your customer first before resorting to filling out a rebuttal. If you chose to prepare one, your rebuttal will be made immediately available to visitors.
Can customers leave candid feedback without it being visible to everyone?
Yes, Ask2bsure allows customers who are rating your work to leave candid suggestions and comments they wish to keep private for "Your Eyes Only". Your customers WILL KNOW suggestions and constructive feedback they would prefer only to share with you will not be shared with anyone but you and no one else.
How can I best use customer ratings to improve my service?
You can see by inspecting your reviews periodically, if there are any patterns developing relating to specific service areas rated by your customers. For example, low ratings that consistently show up for certain performance areas or for certain service employees or crews will help you determine where and when corrective steps need to be taken. Later, you could then monitor the impact of changes you made in future ratings to see if the improvement you expected is happening. On the flip side, there may be performance factors you consistently score high in, so you need to continue being attentive to those areas as well.
